Who pays the bill when the customer expires?

bulletReview your account for other responsible parties and continue your 
collection efforts, if available.
bulletImmediately inform your third party collection agents of this change to the 
account. The following information will be helpful:
bulletDate of death.
bulletCounty that the customer resided.
bulletYour knowledge regarding any estate filings.
bulletWho is the legal representative or next of kin.
bulletIf you possess some or all of the information, then:
bulletCall the County Clerk's Office to determine if a
death certificate has been filed.
bulletCheck the County Probate Court to ascertain if 
any estate has been filed. If it has, obtain the 
file number, the personal representative, the
estate's attorney name and address and the 
deadline for filing the claim. The Court's address 
will be necessary in order to file the claim.
bulletReview local newspapers for the publication 
notice of the estate. All the information needed
will be included within the notice.
bulletIf you are sure that the estate has not be filed, contact the spouse 
or the next of kin for information.
bulletFile the claim with the respective County Probate 
Court, Personal Representative and estate 
Attorney
